Starry Night Jewelbox

the painted sky filters my thoughts of you
leaving me here to wonder why
i step back as i am chiseled out of control
accepting fate as it lies before me
we are separated by chance
but together by choice
and it only brings me closer to you
it is then that i breathe in
softening the world just a little
i see a starry night jewelbox of hope
encircling my destiny
and i sometimes cry in reflection
trying to erase orion above
but i can’t lie under the moon
and not think of you next to me
you cradle my heart
warming me in your horizon
giving me the best part of you
engaging yourself
and surrounding me with love
